Taking a bath on the second floor led to a leak in the bottom floor bathroom that had no heat in it at all.

Update -- after many phone calls and this review, we did receive a refund of one night's stay. But this property needs to be pulled off the market until the water can be addressed -- mold has very dangerous health implications.

Do not rent from this company. We rented 10 lands end. When we got in at 9 pm. We found one bedroom and a hallway sopping wet. The stench of mold and mildew was terrible. When I called the rental company they knew what room I was talking about so they knew this house had an issue. The rental company would do nothing till the next day . They sent someone that vacuumed up some water and supposedly deorterized. They left us with air blowers. That bedroom never dried and the smell was so bad that we had to closed the door. That left us minus a bedroom and people had to sleep on couches. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher, a dishrag was stuffed in the disposal and mice in the walls. Even though we were minus a bedroom, and endured horrible smells and mold the rental company would not refund any of our rent. On a positive note the internet did work.

There is NO gas grille as we where told so 4 meals we had planned to be grilled had to be done inside.

I have rented a number of units at Snowshoe from SPM for the past 5 years and have been very satisfied every time I've done so. We've rented three different houses on West Ridge Road, one specific house at Powder Ridge multiple times and now Stemwinder twice. Each house has come as advertised. I don't remember any issue we've encountered with any of the houses that Laura or Ruth were not able to resolve. I have recommended SPM to other friends who traveled to Snowshoe, and without fail, everyone has left happy. But as a note of warning to any guest of Snowshoe, despite the fact this is a ski resort, you're going into the wilderness of West Virginia. Your cell phone will not work. Internet/satellite dishes may go out. Previous renters may not report issues. That's part of the reality of staying at Snowshoe. Come prepared to adapt.

Management team does NOT know what is and is NOT in their houses.

Defendant need of some repairs and upgrades but not bad for the money. Free continental Breakfast..Beds comfy

There are NO LOCAL channels on the DISH network so we could NOT watch the Super Bowl at the house; they did however open another house for us to go watch it on.

We rented 111 North West Ridge. The door knobs fell off every time we tried to shut the doors and didn't shut so we could NOT lock up the house. The base board heat could NOT keep up with the cold because the doors didn't shut properly.

Only ONE fireplace worked, the one on the bottom level but never produced ANY kind of heat.

Rarely do I come to Google and decide to spend my time writing a bad review. But when I do, it means it has been truly deserved. This property management company treated us unfairly and disrespectfully. We go on a trip to Snowshoe every year for the last 4 years with UNCC alumni group & our professors. This is the 1st time we came across such unprofessional and rude treatment. I booked a Sunrise Silver Creek 1 property with Laura (a representative of the Snowshoe Properties Mgt), who recommended that I specifically book this property. When we arrived with a group of 10 people we had each breakfast and dinner planned out and brought casserole dishes. In a hurry to get on the slopes the first morning we waited for 1.5 hour to bake our dish prior to realizing that the over is broken. We immediately called the property manager to address the issue, which they came on to check on later and left a sticky note advising us it cannot be fixed. How do you check someone into a property with a broken oven in the 1st place? Additionally, I advised the prop manager that we have 10 people in the group and the dining seating area only sits 8 and one of those 8 chairs was broken. Luckily, no one got hurt. Other things that added to unpleasant experience – fireplace did not come on, broken can opener, no kitchen towels, there was a pool table, which was also falling apart. Clearly this property needed a thorough walk through by property management. Upon check out I spoke to Laura and advised her of all the issues again, she refused to even say “sorry” and angrily advised that I signed the agreement by which I accept the property in the condition it was. I would not have wrote this extensive review, if at least she addressed our issues and treated us with respect.
